The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with the nurse congratulating Kartik. Kartik asks whose baby it is and the nurse replies that it is Keerti’s child. He is happy but sad to know that Keerti is still unwell and us in coma. The doctor informs Kartik that Naira has to go through a surgery to deliver the baby. Kartik meets Naira and tells her about the surgery.

Naira says that she wants to have a normal delivery. But Kartik convinces her for Caesarean operation. Naira delivers a baby girl. Kartik asks the doctor about it. The doctor immediately shifts the child to the special care until it is a premature child. Kartik takes the baby in his hands but the nurse takes the baby away.

Kartik is very happy and goes to talk to Naira. The family members are extremely worried for Keerti and Naira. Manish calms everyone down. Kartik goes to the ward to meet both the babies. He talks to Keerti’s baby boy and then asks the nurse about his baby. The nurse says that his girl passed away as she was premature and extremely weak. Kartik is shattered.
