The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Kartik is shocked on learning about Naksh and Kirti’s accident. The police officer asks Kartik to reach the accident spot immediately. Kartik runs to the spot. Naira asks the manager to stop the car near a temple as she is feeling strange. She lights a lamp and prays for everyone. Kartik sees the ambulance arrive and Kirti and Naksh are taken to a hospital.
Kartik is shocked to see his them in a bad state. Manish calls Kartik and he informs him about the accident. Suhasini and Bhabhimaa are shocked to know that both Naksh and Kirti have met with a major accident. Naira reaches home. Everyone at home pretends to be happy and do not inform her about the accident.
Kartik feels guilty of not being able to take care of Naira and Kirti. Naira calls Kartik. The doctor tells Kartik that Naksh is out of danger but Kirti has slipped into coma. Naira tells everyone that she has made arrangements for Kirti’s birthday. Everyone hides their tears but are restless. Akhilesh and Manish reach the hospital. Naksh regains consciousness and asks about Kirti's health. He comes to know that she has slipped into a coma. Kartik tries to console him.
