The episode of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 begins with Navin upset as Mohini wants to cancel his marriage. He calls up his 'jaan' and tells her the problem. She asks him not to worry. Prerna wakes up and apologizes to Anurag for sleeping on his shoulders.

Moloy's lawyer and Veena tell them that it would be difficult to get Anurag out soon as Kirti is a minor. This makes Mohini worried. Navin goes to the police station with his politician friend and gets both Anurag and Prerna released. Mohini is elated to see Anurag back home. She agrees to get Navin engaged the next day.

Naveen asks Prerna if he is happy and he nods hesitantly. He warns her not to cancel the wedding and reminds her of her father's loan. Moloy is not happy with Prerna's wedding. Anurag tells him he asked Prerna the reason why she is getting married to Navin but she asked him not to interfere. Naveen and Prerna come to the latter's home. Navin announces his engagement to Prerna scheduled for the next day making her family shocked.
