The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Rukmani thanking Kartik for the rings brought for Anmol and Mansi. Naira says that he is just showing off and both of them get into an argument. Kartik asks Naira not to attend the engagement ceremony. Devyani asks Kartik to think before speaking. Surekha asks Swarna not to create any problems at the wedding. Kartik says that he shall do everything to make Mansi’s wedding grand.
Naitik tries talking to Naira since she is upset but Naira asks for some solo time. Kirti and Naksh feel bad for her. Rukmani comes to Naira and asks her to decorate the ring box. A ring falls down and no one realizes the same and Naira takes the box. Coincidentally, Naira and Kartik both go to to the market and park their cars beside each other. Both irritate each other on purpose.

She takes revenge after a while by not letting Kartik open his car door by parking her car very closeby. While leaving, Kartik races his car into a puddle and the entire mud splashes on Naira. She gets angry. On reaching home, Naira sees Suhasini waiting for her. Suhasini asks her to come to the Goenka house and act as a dutiful daughter in law till the wedding.
Naira gets shocked and refuses to come. She says that she won't be able to act normal. Suhasini forces her. Naitik supports Naira. He says that they shall support Naira through her divorce. Suhasini gets annoyed and asks her to either come to the Goenka house or else not attend the engagement ceremony. Naira feels bad.
