The latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins when a drunken Kartik begins to imagine Naira and Kunal being together. Soon he realizes that they are not there. Naira sees off Naitik and Chitti Maharaj as they leave for Udaipur. Naitik asks her to take care of herself. Manish calls Suhasini to congratulate her for finding the culprit. Suhasini seems worried for Kartik and tells Manish about the same.

Manish tells her that Kartik went into depression after Naira left him and asks for her help suggesting that they should reunite Naira and Kartik. Naira asks Kritika about Kartik. In the bar, Kartik hears Rohit confessing his love for someone. He starts laughing and tells them that he should not believe in love. Naitik and Chitti Maharaj arrive in Udaipur. Naksh smiles and welcomes them home. He overhears Naitik telling Chitti Maharaj about calling Naira and gets angry and feels that Naitik loves Naira more than he loves him.

Kartik drinks some more and calls Naira. Naira cries hearing his voice and rushes to help him. Naitik makes Bhabhi maa wear the new hearing aid. Naira comes to the pub and is shocked on seeing Kartik drunk. Kirti feels guilty about not telling Naitik about her plans to reunite Kartik and Naira. Naitik asks her not to worry and discuss problems. Naksh makes tea for Naitik and they sit and talk after long. Naira takes a taxi home and gets Kartik along. She cries seeing him in a distorted state.
