The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Naira spending time with her father Naitik. She comes across a few pictures of her and Kartik on the laptop. She remembers her good old days. Naitik asks her to enroll herself into a college and complete her education.

Kirti texts Naitik to enquire about Kartik signing the legal papers. Manish tells Kartik to handle a business project. Naira hopes that going to college would prove to be a good thing for her. Both Kartik and Naira think of each other. Luv and Kush ask Kartik to talk to Naira. Surekha takes them away. Kartik hallucinates Naira's on the television and breaks the TV. Manish hears the noise and checks on Kartik and asks him to control his anger. Kartik asks him to leave him alone.

Bhabhi Maa and Devyaani feel that the Goenka’s should take Naira home. Bhabhi Maa wishes that Kirti could help reunite Naira and Kartik. Kirti sends the papers signed by Kartik to Naira for her signatures. Naira sees the papers signed by Kartik and signs them. Naitik asks her to not give up and start afresh.
