The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Kartik learning of Naira's truth of her fewer chances of pregnancy. He gets shocked. Naira says that she wanted to inform him earlier but couldn't. Naira apologizes. He runs into a room to stay away alone for some time.

Naira begins with her Pooja for Gangaur. Everybody make the statues of the divine. They sing and dance. Kartik feels depressed on learning of the news. Naira dances but searches for Kartik. The neighbours talk about Naira's pregnancy. Kirti is unable to make the statue until Naksh helps. Suhasini tells Kirti to make her health steady and only listen to the Goenka's family doctor.

Later the dance and songs begin. Suhasini tells Naira that the clay to prepare the statue is over. Naira gets tensed as she still has to make the statue of Lord Ganpati.

Kartik brings in a different mud and says that Naira can make the statue out of it. Buadadi says that the mud is inappropriate to make the statue. But Naira and Kartik say that they will manage. Naira and Karti make the statue and keep a check on it constantly time to time, throughout the night.

Suhasini asks Kirti to stay back at the Goenka house. They ask Naksh to stay back as well but he refused to say that he has to take care of Naitik and has some work at his restaurant Krishna.

Naira and Kartik keep a watch on the statue for long. Suddenly they see that the gardener keeps a mowing machine near the statues kept for drying and the grass cut disturbs the statue. Both wonder what to do next.
