The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Suhana being worried for Shubham. Shubham calls Suhana and she gives him an idea of how he could threaten his family. Kartik and Naira go and talk to Shubham but he refuses. He runs upstairs. Swarna gets food for him but Shubham throws it and rushes to the terrace.

Meanwhile, Naira returns from the doctor who tells her that she can conceive but the chances are really low. Naira turns positive and says that she will definitely turn a mother someday. She comes back just to see Shubham on the terrace. Suhana calls her and says that Shubham sounded really angry and might just do something to himself.

Swarna rushes and informs Manish and Akhilesh about Shubham trying to commit suicide. Everybody panics and rushes to the terrace. They try to break the door but it goes in vain. Kartik figures out a way and climbs up the terrace with the help of a ladder. Shubham unaware of things threatens to kill himself. Naira sees Kartik's efforts and stays silent so that Shubham doesn't come to know about it. Meanwhile, Shubham trips on a wire and loses his balance and falls down. Luckily, Kartik holds his hand and tries to save him.

Naksh tells Kirti to help in the preparations of the Gangaur festival. She worries about her baby. Manish and Akhilesh help Kartik and Shubham safely get off the terrace. Kartik slaps Shubham.
