'Coco' to release in India on November 24

Disney-Pixar's "Coco", which narrates the story of an aspiring musician's journey into the land of the dead, will release in India on November 24.

In the animated movie, aspiring musician Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) teams up with charming trickster Héctor (voice of Gael García Bernal) on an extraordinary journey through the Land of the Dead.

"Coco" features an original score from Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino, a song by Oscar winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and additional songs co-written by Germaine Franco and co-director Adrian Molina, read a statement from Disney India.

It showcases the importance of family, honouring one's ancestors and following one's dreams. "‘Coco' is about a 12-year-old boy with big dreams," said director Lee Unkrich.

"It's about a hardworking family with great traditions and a lot of love. But what's so cool about ‘Coco' is that the boy could be my son. That family could live next door. The sweet, bossy grandmother who insists on one more bite might be your grandma. There's something familiar to us all in this story. That's what makes it so special," Unkrich added.
