The Avengers play kabaddi, gully cricket, drive an auto in India!

The Avengers are scheduled to blast off into outer space to battle intergalactic super villain Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018). And, of course, two of them – Hulk and Thor, are set to fight Hela in Thor: Ragnarok next month (November 3). But before they do, Iron Man, the Hulk and other members of the team took a detour to India; because even superheroes need a vacation.
The Avengers were spotted indulging in some desi fun. From a game of kabaddito a match of gully cricket to even driving an auto rickshaw in Mumbai, the Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther and Iron Man did everything they could to get as authentic an Indian experience as possible.

You can catch all their shenanigans on Marvel’s new Instagram page dedicated solely to Indian fans: @Marvel_India. The page, now live, is a way for Marvel to give back some of the massive love the Avengers series (along with other projects from the brand) have gotten from India. So, here’s a sneak peek into the Avengers’ Indian vacation!

The Avengers, a 2012 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics’ superhero team of the same name, was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Its ensemble cast included Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, and Samuel L. Jackson. In the film, the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D. recruits Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, and Thor to form a team that must stop Thor's brother Loki from subjugating Earth.

The film received positive reviews from critics, as well as numerous awards and nominations including Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for achievements in visual effects. A sequel, titled Avengers: Age of Ultron, was released in May 2015, while two additional sequels, Avengers: Infinity War and an untitled sequel, are currently in development, with Infinity War scheduled for a May 2018 release date, and its sequel scheduled to be released on May 2019.
