Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son, Aryan Khan, is embarking on a new phase in his life, leaving behind the turmoil of the drugs-on-cruise case he was allegedly involved in last year. The 25-year-old lad is venturing into the world of cinema with a web series titled Stardom. Aryan, as we revealed earlier, is not following in his father’s footsteps in acting but rather wants to pave his own path as a filmmaker. He marks his directorial debut with a six-part tinseltown drama series that tells an up-close fictional account of the Hindi film industry. Although the show's cast hasn't been announced yet, we hear that several Bollywood celebrities will appear in cameo roles.
Buzz in the industry is that Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh are likely to play cameo roles in Aryan Khan’s Stardom. While the details of their characters have been tightly kept under wraps, we believe that they have agreed to be part of the show. The project has been in pre-production for the past three months and is set to begin principal photography in Mumbai around May 27. The cast has been finalized, and although their identities are being withheld, sources claim that it primarily consists of young, newcomer actors as well as some notable ones, such as Gautami Kapoor (Ram Kapoor's wife), who is known for her work on television shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Qubool Hai. "SRK and Ranveer will be seen in different episodes, playing roles that are small but important in taking the story forward. It’s a special part, and both are excited to shoot for it under the direction of Jr. Khan," a source told us.

Aryan Khan’s show is said to be a funny, touching, and gripping story set against the backdrop of the Mumbai film industry. It revolves around a group of aspiring actors chasing their dreams of stardom and offers viewers a glimpse into the everyday lives of actors, their struggles in maintaining relationships, and the pursuit of artistic fulfillment in the demanding world of showbiz. As someone who grew up in the limelight as a star kid, Aryan possesses an insider's understanding of the film industry's intricacies and has written a script that takes a not-too-serious look at the ins-and-outs of film stardom. Apart from writing it along with Bilal Siddiqui (Bard of Blood) and others, Aryan also serves as the showrunner and director on this show. Red Chillies Entertainment is working diligently to ensure the show is smoothly and efficiently shot in a straight four-to-five-month shooting schedule. As of now, no specific streaming platform has been associated with this project.
The Aryan Khan project marks the third web series from Red Chillies Entertainment, following Emraan Hashmi’s espionage thriller, Bard of Blood, and the zombie horror, Betaal. The Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan-led banner has four films lined up for release this year, including Atlee’s commercial potboiler Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani’s social comedy Dunki, headlined by SRK himself. The other two projects are the Saif Ali Khan-starrer investigative thriller Kartavya and Bhumi Pednekar’s Bhakshak, both directed by Pulkit of Bose: Dead or Alive fame.
