For PeepingMoon.com's Women's Day Special Ep 3, 'ExtraordiNari' Fashion Stylist Tanya Ghavri spoke about the sexist, casual remarks in the fraternity towards female stylists & actresses being slut shamed for their size and styling. She also said how fashion is an expression of self and is an extension of one’s personality. Tanya also applauded Urfi for her fashion sense and said that one should know when to stop listening to the trolls and naysayers.
During the course of the exclusive interview, Tanya was asked how she weighs in on Urfi Javed’s DIY fashion and how it was an escape for her but people sexualized it. To this Tanya said, “Fashion is an expression, so maybe it is like that for her. Kudos to her that she is living her life on her own terms so good for her but what I’m trying to say is that I think it is very important to understand where to take criticism and where to stop it and have horse-blinders on and live your life, because if you start taking every troll seriously you’ll not be able to live a normal life. So I think it is very important to meditate and to know where to stop certain things.”
