Celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri sat down with PeepingMoon.com for an exclusive interview for a special segment on Women’s Day. While talking about equality between men and women, Tanya showered praise on Shah Rukh Khan calling him the ultimate ‘feminist’.
Tanya equated the concept of ‘feminist’ to Shah Rukh Khan and said, “He is an inspiration for women all across the world. The way he conducts himself and the way he speaks, his kindness is pouring out of him. So I think he is a feminist.”
Feminism means the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes and a feminist is one who advocates this. However, feminism and being a feminist is often misconstrued and spoken negatively which is once again a treatment meted out by the patriarchal society.
