Debina Bonnerjee is one of the most popular actresses on television. The actor was blessed with two beautiful baby daughters in the span of just 10 months. After ten years of marriage with Gurmeet Choudhary and trying multiple treatments to conceive, the couple was blessed with the birth of their elder daughter Lianna on April 3, 2022. However, god had a surprise for them when Debina got pregnant again and delivered 10 months later and gave birth to daughter Divisha on November 11, 2022. Now, in an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon.com for our Women’s Day special segment ‘ExtraordiNari’, Debina speaks about motherhood and the trolling that she faced for her second pregnancy.
When Debina and Gurmeet announced their second pregnancy, the couple was severely trolled on social media. Many questioned them and even went ahead to say that on one hand Gurmeet is promoting his music video while Debina is announcing her pregnancy. Talking about the online trolls, Debina said, “Even now I feel that people have a lot of questions, like ‘how and why’ and I was like ‘why are there so many questions’. At that time I felt I needed to answer and give an explanation but later on I felt ‘why do I need their validation’, ‘Do I need to take their permission to continue my pregnancy’. At that time the trolling did hit me but now it makes me laugh.
Lianna and Divisha are Irish Twins that is a pair of siblings born less than 12 months apart, especially if born within the same calendar year or school year or born one year apart.
Debina and Gurmeet worked together in the 2008 TV show Ramayana. They played the lead characters of Lord Ram and Sita and fell in love during the shooting of the show. They tied the knot on February 15, 2011.
