Tusshar Kapoor has returned to acting after a hiatus with Maarrich. The film’s trailer was launched today at a media event. Tusshar, who is famous for playing the role of mute Lucky in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series is playing the role of a cop in the film. During the media event that followed the trailer launch, PeepingMoon.com exclusively asked Tusshar whether he would like to team up again with Rohit and join his cop universe.
On being asked to play a cop in Rohit’s films, Tusshar said, “When people think about Rohit and me, right now everybody just asks me when the next Golmaal will come. So, I don’t think it's easy to break out of something that has done so well in the past. When some amazing script comes, I am sure Rohit would want to work with me even in a different light. But, we can’t predict that yet.”
Tusshar has played a cop’s role before too in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Khakee alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. He had received a lot of accolades for his performance in the film. Talking about Maarrich, the film also stars Rahul Dev, Anita Hassanandani, Naseeruddin Shah and Dipannita Sharma. The film is directed by Dhruv Lather.

The film is produced by Tusshar under his production house Tusshar Entertainment House in association with NH Studios. Along with Tusshar the film is also produced by Narendra Hirawat, Shreyans Hirawat and co-produced by Girish Johar, Priyank V Jain. The film will release theatrically on December 9, 2022.
