Ankur Rathee tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Anuja Joshi. The intimate ceremony took place on June 15 in the United Kingdom in the presence of family and close friends. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon.com, Ankur opened up about keeping it a low-key affair.
He told us, "Both of our lives are very public, especially in the age of social media. Everything we do can become a PR opportunity. A part of our job is managing fame, exposure and brand as public figures. We didn’t want to bring that intention and career-minded energy to such an intimate and personal affair. We wanted it to be the coming together of loved ones and preserve the sanctity and purity of what we wanted to do."
Ankur and Anuja got engaged on July 19, 2020. He had shared a picture of the dreamy proposal on Instagram.
For the wedding, Anuja wore a red and golden lehenga. She completed her look with a maang tika, choker, bangles and a necklace. Ankur was dressed in an off-white sherwani. Their Haldi ceremony had a Maharashtrian touch to it.
