Filmmaker M Padmakumar who directed the original Malayalam film would helm the Hindi remake as well. He is currently in Mumbai to finalize the cast and crew and will kickoff the pre-production next month. Produced by Deepak Mukut of Sohum Rockstar Entertainment, the drama thriller is scheduled to go on floors in January in Rajasthan.

For the unversed, Sunny Deol has been trying to do a South film remake for the past three years now. The actor was first supposed to star in Suriya's Tamil hit S3's Hindi remake in 2018 but the film was put on the backburner due to his creative differences with choreographer and director Ravi K Chandran. He was then signed by his producer friend Anuj Sharma for the remake of Mohanlal's Oppum where he was supposed to play an ex-army officer. LIE director Hanu Raghavapudi was brought on board to helm it, however, that film was also shelved after he entered into politics. Prior to that, Deol was doing a period film with Rajkumar Santoshi which was shelved after some time due to financial issues.
