EXCLUSIVE: Anil Sharma of Gadar fame on Surgical Strike 2.0: What better tribute for Pulwama martyrs on the 'terahvin' (13th Day)

Bollywood director Anil Sharma, who produced and directed the 2004 war drama Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo with Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in the lead, is jubilant about this morning’s IAF Surgical Strike 2.0 against terror camps of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan.
No sooner than news of the 12 Mirage 2000 jets crossing the LoC and destroying JeM terror camps in Balakot area of Pakistan came through, than Sharma was telling PeepingMoon.com, “Aaj terva din hai Pulwama attack ka… iss se behtar shradhanjali kya ho sakti thi?” (Today is the 13th day of the Pulwama terror attack and what better tribute for the martyrs than this?).

Terva din refers to the ceremony conducted to mark the final day of mourning after a death. And according to Sharma, who has made patriotic films like The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha among others, there could be no better day than today to take revenge and commemorate the CRPF jawans who were killed in the Pulwama terror attack of February 14, 2019.
