Forget the several reasons being furiously given to explain why Priyanka Chopra abruptly walked out of Salman Khan’s 2019 magnum opus Bharat. We present the real deal. PeepingMoon.com has learned that Priyanka has received what is being described as “a monstrous offer” to do a Hollywood film that any American actress would die to act in. This is not the biopic on American astronaut Kalpana Chawla (of Indian origin) that is being widely discussed in the media. The film that has reportedly tilted the balance in favour of Hollywood over Bollywood for Priyanka is one of those prestigious films that come once in a while and define the actors working in them. No details are known as yet because the film itself is hush-hush but Priyanka’s participation in it is definite.

Sources say that there was no way Priyanka was turning down this offer. Sources also say that the actress, who is now a global icon after Quantico, was delighted to walk out of Bharat because the Bollywood film was not turning out to be as she had initially envisaged. Her sudden decision, even while Bollywood was expecting Priyanka to report for shooting in Mumbai, has left the Bharat production team reeling. While Nikhil Namit, CEO of Reel Life Productions that’s bankrolling the film, lashed out bitterly and called the actress “unprofessional”, Ali Abbas Zafar tried to dilute the sudden huge vacuum in his film by saying Priyanka was leaving to get engaged.

It is also believed that the actress was unhappy with the way Zafar had been adding to the cast ofBharat and thereby minimizing her own screen time. Priyanka, who was to be playing Salman’s wife, was reportedly given a narration in which her role seemed as large as his. This excited her enough to consider Bharat her Bollywood homecoming. So she was surprised when first Disha Patani came on board. Then Tabu and Nora Fatehi.

All of whom have special roles created reportedly at Salman’s orders. Priyanka’s fear was that she would be facing the same fate that Jacqueline Fernandez did in Race 3 with Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Saqib Salim and Freddy Daruwala joining the cast. The fear of being sidelined. So, when the big, juicy Hollywood film was offered to her, the actress had no hesitation in walking out of Bharat.
