After Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Bollywood is reportedly looking forward to the marriage of fashionista and actress Sonam Kapoor and her businessman beau Anand Ahuja. Sources say that it will most likely happen next year. And if it does, it is guaranteed to be the Wedding of 2018. Unlike Anushka, Sonam is certain to tie the knot in India. But, before that, the couple could get engaged in early 2018. And let the marriage happen later in the year. Sonam and Anand have been dating for three years now, sometimes secretly, other times openly, and almost everybody is looking forward to them getting married. All of Bollywood will go, considering the actress’ popularity and her father Anil Kapoor’s goodwill in the industry.
But the actress and her PR team have denied any such plan and shot down stories of an engagement between Sonam and Anand being on the cards. However, that’s what Anushka Sharma’s PR team also did when rumours of her marriage to Virat Kohli began doing the rounds early in December. And look where the gorgeous actress and handsome cricketer are now – they have reached Milan in Italy where the saat pheras will reportedly take place tomorrow! PeepingMoon.com sources say that Sonam may announce her engagement before the release of Shashank Ghosh’s film Veere Di Wedding on May 18, 2018. The wedding could be in September.

There is also the fear in Bollywood that Sonam, who received a National Award for her role in Neerja, may settle down in London after marriage where Anand has a plush home. He is a Delhi-based designer and the brain behind the shoe brand Bhane. Interestingly, Anand accompanied Sonam and Anil Kapoor when the actress went to receive her National Award and sat with her proudly through the prestigious ceremony. But it seems unlikely that the actress who is putting out her best performances currently will hang up her boots and give up acting. Sonam has signed two films for after Veere D Wedding. Abhishek Sharma’s The Zoya Factor and Shelly Chopra’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with her father Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. She will finish both and like her friend Kareena Kapoor Khan continue acting after marriage. If Priyanka Chopra can fly between LA and Mumbai, why should not Sonam between London and Mumbai?
The couple made their first public appearance at Akshay Kumar’s home in August 2015 when he hosted Hollywood actor-singer Will Smith for a bash. They arrived together and Anand even posted a picture of them with Will. Both have gone through the neither-admitting-nor-denying phase despite being spotted together on numerous occasions and at holidays together. Their Instagram pictures always reveal how much the two enjoy each other’s company. Sonam reportedly gifted Anand a BMX bike for his birthday this year while he brought in her 32nd birthday in June in a very special way and posted a boomerang video of Sonam in a white lace dress and pictures of them cutting a cake together.
Sonam’s family (parents Anil and Sunita, sister Rhea and brother Harshvardhan) approve of the match and are fond of Anand who has accompanied them on holidays. Unfortunately, Sonam refused to admit or deny any big plans for 2018.
