Peeping Moon.com has learned that SRK might be absent at the film festival because of a distaste the otherwise humble and classy actor has for one of the organizers, but there’s no way you can keep King Khan away from the event’s celebrations.

And so tonight (Saturday, October 14th) consider yourself lucky if you’ve been invited to Mannat. For that’s where Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are playing hosts to the ravishing Italian actress Monica Bellucci of Hollywood who is attending MAMI.
Not so long ago they threw the sea-facing gates of their bungalow open to welcome the British band Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin after he had performed at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai. SRK also held a lavish party for international DJ Diplo and his band Major Lazer at Mannat after collaborating with him on the track Phurr from Jab Harry Met Sejal. This party the Bollywood Badshah also held to indulge his kids Aryan and Suhana who are big fans of DJ Diplo. And then there was a party for Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Now it is Monica Bellucci’s turn!
The 52-year-old actress’ films On The Milky Road and Irreversible are being screened at the festival as part of a retrospective and she will be the first recipient of MAMI’s Trailblazer Award for the role she has played in cinema. “I am very touched and honoured to receive an award by MAMI as well as present some of my films there. It is very exciting to come to India for the first time,” Monica said in a statement.
The actress who was a Bond girl in Daniel Craig’s Spectre, is a Bollywood fan and has appreciates Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen, Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly and Neeraj Ghaywan’s Masaan in the past. The first Bollywood film Monica saw was Devdas with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She expressed the interest to work in a Bollywood film after she met SRK in Morocco in 2015.
