PeepingMoon Exclusive: 'How you overcome delay, wait, struggle is the key to a successful life & I have that key,' says ‘Oldest newcomer’ Amit Sadh

Amit Sadh has become the new poster boy of web. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that he owns the digital platform right now. With Breathe: Into The Shadows, Avrodh: The Siege Within, Shakuntala Devi and Yaara he has managed to showcase different personas in all the four of his releases. PeepingMoon.com exclusively caught up with Amit to talk about his great body of work on the web right now, the trappings of a ‘star’ and the late found acclaim coming his way. However, Amit remained pragmatic and practical in his outlook and spoke very candidly about success, failure and looking at the brighter side of things.

The actor was very candid about the adulations that the audience is showering on him right now. Talking about it, he said, “Audience sur pakadti hai, unko lagta hai ki aapne mehnat ki hai, aapki sur sachchi hai to who aapko chadha dete hain, woh dekhte hain ki aap mein kuch ghamand hai, kuch sur mein gadbad hai to woh aapko utaar dete hain. Mujhe koi award nahi chahiye. Mujhe bas yeh award chahiye ki log dekh lein, unko achcha lage, thoda validation de dein, thoda encouragement de dein, bas.”

When we called him the ‘poster boy of web’ and the fact that he has been working in the industry since 18 years, Amit very humbly said, “It’s just the love, I am just a normal boy with big dreams. Kuch posters aa gaye hain, so grateful for that. I’m the oldest newcomer. I came from Mukteshwar where I was teaching rock climbing. I feel as if I have started just yesterday and hence I have a long way to go.”

Amit was immensely hopeful and realistic when asked about delays that an artiste faces on their projects and the ups and downs of showbiz. He said, “Puri duniya wait karti hai, life mein har jagah wait karna padta hai, sab struggle karte hain. Aap bank jayenge na wahan bhi wait karna padta hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki actors ki struggle bas thodi glorify ho jati hai. You’ve to learn to be strong, every business, every job has a set of perks and challenges. You have to learn how to handle both of them with dignity and accept and hope for the best. I am a veteran, Running Shaadi released three years later, Yaara released now it was shot in 2014. But you know what, it is my prerogative to think to be sad that my films were delayed or be happy that none of my projects have been canned or shelved. So it is about you how you take things. Somebody told me you are partying, your Running Shaadi flopped and I was like picture flop hui hai, insaan flop nahi hua’ and meri picture release hui hai, release hona apne aap mein hit hai. Same thing for Yaara. We had so much fun catching up with Vidyut Jammwal, Kenny Basumatary and Vijay Varma during promotions after shooting the film. Delay, wait, struggle is a part of life, how you overcome them is the key to a successful life and I have that key.”
