Critically acclaimed filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda of Kadvi Hawa (2017) fame is back with another prestigious project titled Megha's Divorce. The standalone 11 minute long film in Hindi is part of United Nations-backed anthology of 11 films under INTERDEPENCE, which is 1 hour 40 minute long feature presentation in English. It is produced by Handyyman in India. The other participating countries are Morocco, Chad, Iceland, Portugal, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Brazil, China, New Zealand and Italy.
Actress Manjari Fadnnis plays the titular role in the film, which is set in Delhi and aims to raise awareness on environment and climate change through a compelling narrative. It is a poignant story of Megha and Akaash, who are going through a dwindling marriage due to air pollution. In fact, it brings alive the fact that degradation of air quality and other resources has and is affecting daily life, economy, human emotions and even relationships. When asked about her character in the film, Manjari told PeepingMoon.com, "Megha is strongheaded, much like every woman who takes her own decisions in life. Ofcourse, air pollution becomes an inevitable part of her marriage and relationships, which leads her to take a decision like divorce."

The courtroom drama also stars Divya Dutta, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Chandan Anand and others. When prodded how it was to share screen space with such renowned actors, Manjari quipped, "It feels amazing. Good actors certainly enhance your performance and I felt the same working with them on this project." Last but not the least, Manjari, who calls herself a 'Nature's Girl', claimed that she took up Megha's Divorce as it is an attempt to give it back the environment, something that she strongly feels about.
The film is slated to travel in atleast 20 prestigious festivals all over the world along with INTERDEPENDENCE. It had its Indian premiere at the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
