Apropos the intense speculation over Sandeep Vanga’s next film, the buzz is not entirely accurate that the Kabir Singh director has signed Ranbir Kapoor for this project that is reportedly of the thriller genre. Vanga, who is in terrific demand after his Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer crossed Rs. 200 crore, reportedly is in talks with his Kabir Singh producers to make his next directorial.
That much of the story is true. But that Vanga has singled out Ranbir as the lead of this crime thriller is somewhat iffy. Vanga, who is writing the script of this thriller, will be in a hurry to follow Kabir Singh with another success. And Ranbir has his hands full with Brahmastra and Shamshera. He’s also committed to Luv Ranjan’s film that reportedly co-stars Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone.

So, even if Ranbir has heard Vanga’s story and liked it, the actor may not be the director’s immediate choice. In which case, PeepingMoon.com sources say, Vanga will look at signing Varun Dhawan for this film. It’s all being kept hush-hush at the moment and Vanga is expected to share details of the film and its lead actor in due time. But as of now, the toss is between Ranbir and Varun.
