Exclusive: Big B-Emraan Hashmi film for Rumi Jaffrey titled ‘Barf’

Apropos the big news that Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi are coming together for the first time in Rumi Jaffrey’s directorial return, PeepingMoon.com has it that the film’s title is Barf and also acting in it will be Anu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla.

Buzz is that Barf is a courtroom drama set in Delhi and Mr. Bachchan is most likely playing a judge in the film. This will be his third courtroom drama after Badla that releases this Friday and Pink of 2016. Rumi, incidentally, is making a comeback to direction after his fantasy comedy God Tussi Great Ho in 2008 that featured Mr. Bachchan alongside Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Rumi’s earlier credits include Coolie No. 1 (1995), Judwaa (1997) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004).

Rumi, and producer Anand Pandit, are looking at starting Barf in the second half of 2019. Mr. Bachchan, who has just finished shooting for Jhund, will also have completed his schedule for Dharma Productions’ Brahmastra which he is acting in with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Emraan was recently seen in Soumik Sen’s crime drama Why Cheat India?
