Rakhi Sawant has been arrested in connection with an FIR filed against her by actress Sherlyn Chopra. Sherlyn shared the news on her own Twitter handle. Rakhi has been detained by the Amboli police. According to reports, Rakhi was supposed to launch her dance academy, which she has partnered with husband Adil Khan Durrani today on January 19 at 3 pm. However, she was arrested by Amboli Police.
Sherlyn took to Twitter to share the news of Rakhi’s arrest. She also shared additional information about the FIR. Reportedly, the actress was taken into custody on the basis of the complaint filed by Sherlyn. As per reports, Rakhi will soon be presented before the Andheri Court.

The arrest has been made on an FIR filed by Sherlyn alleging that she released her objectionable photos and videos on social media. Earlier, Rakhi and Sherlyn had indulged in a war of words over the former’s comment on latter’s allegations against filmmaker Sajid Khan in #MeToo connection. Rakhi had rubbished the claims of Sherlyn against Sajid who was till recently a contestant in Bigg Boss 16 this year. Later, Sherlyn filed a complaint against Rakhi for alleged defamation.
