Mumbai Crime Branch claims Raj Kundra spent lacs on advertising HotShots app, recovers payment details from mobile phone?

Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra is currently in judicial custody for his active role in an alleged pornography case. According to new developments reported by a leading daily, the Mumbai Crime Branch has learnt that Raj spent lacs of rupees on advertising his HotShots app on leading porn websites. As per the report, senior officers of the Crime Branch claimed that they extracted a bunch of emails from Raj's phone that proved he was operating the app from India and sent emails to a company that assists in providing advertisements on leading porn websites.

An officer told the daily, "With the help of cyber forensics, we have extracted emails from Kundra’s mobile phone. They were sent to the advertising platform TrafficJunky from info@hotshotworld.com. Further analysis revealed invoices of Kenrin Limited, emails related to ad overview (Android) ad overview (iOS) and payment receipts." Reportedly, the investigative agency discovered that advertisements were published on websites like Red Tube Mobile, You Porn mobile and Phron.

The officer said, "We have found invoices of around Rs 8 to Rs 10 lakh. The preliminary analysis suggests that he used to pay Rs 1 to Rs 1.5 lakh per porn website for HotShots’ advertisement." The remand application read, “During co-accused Ryan Thorpe’s interrogation, we have come to know that around $158,057 (R1,17,64, 886) has been credited to the HotShots app from August to December 2020."

Reportedly, the Crime Branch also froze some of Raj's bank accounts after an accountant from his company, who is also a witness in the case, said in a statement that HotShots’s revenue came from Apple and Google. According to the daily's report, mobile phones and laptops seized from Raj and Ryan Thorpe also had invoices related to HotShots and information related to films, payments and meetings. The investigating officer said, "It is now established that HotShots was being run by Kundra from Mumbai and Pradeep Bakshi is just his dummy to evade law enforcing agencies."
