PeepingMoon Exclusive: ‘I am being framed, my bank accounts have been frozen so could not take bail,’ says a visibly moved Raj Kundra in pornography case hearing

Raj Kundra, who has been arrested in the pornography case, was presented in the court today after his judicial custody was extended for additional 14 days. His lawyer, Abad Ponda, has now moved his bail application before the magistrate court. The bail application will be heard tomorrow. Raj had earlier moved High Court against the arrest and his lawyer had even alleged his arrest 'illegal & mala fide'.

A visibly moved and emotional Kundra spoke about his arrest at the court premises. He said, “I am being framed I did nothing wrong. My bank accounts have been frozen so I could not take bail. Mumbai Police trapping me in larger conspiracy which I am not the part of.”

Kundra was taken to the Arthur Road Jail in a Tata Sumo where he was strip-searched to ensure that he wasn’t carrying any contraband or weapons. His fingerprints and mug shots were also taken by the jail authorities and an ID card was given to him.

The businessman will be placed in after barrack (special barrack) for new inmates. He will be shifted to after barrack once his quarantine period is over. He will enter the new barrack after 4 pm today.
