On March 30, Bigg Boss 7 fame Ajaz Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in an alleged drug case. Reportedly, it was drug peddler Shadab Batata who was recently arrested, who mentioned Ajaz's name during his interrogation.
Now PeepingMoon sources have learnt that Ajaz and Shadab were involved in drug dealings, together, via WhatsApp chats. Our source informed, "Shadab used to supply drugs to Ajaz and the actor used to supply it further to Bollywood and TV actors. Mostly, television actors were his clients and used to score drugs from him. Ajaz had developed a new modus Operandi through which he used to take all the orders on WhatsApp voice notes and delete the recordings once the order was placed."

"Farook Batata was industry's biggest drug dealer and now, his son Shadab Batata is handling the same. It has been developed from Ajaz's chats that he used to place orders with Shadab. Ajaz also used lockdown as a reason to take more advance from TV actors. Ajaz used his influential position in society to deal in drugs," the source added.
Ajaz's lawyer, on the other hand, stated, "No drugs were found at Ajaz Khan's house. Only a few medicines were found that belonged to his wife. Ajaz has not once admitted to having dealt with any sort of drugs in his official statement. The Whatsapp chats that are taken into consideration are a year old."
Ajaz will now be kept under NCB custody until April 3 for joint questioning with Shadab.
