Producer Yogesh Kumar, accused of stabbing actress Malvi Malhotra on Monday, was tracked down by the Versova police to a Vasai hospital last night. He is said to have attempted suicide after trying to kill the junior artiste who he wanted to marry but who had rejected him. Yogesh admitted to the crime.
Model-turned-actress Malvi, who was stabbed in the stomach by Yogesh, is at Kokilaben Hospital. She had acted in TV serial Udaan and Bollywood film Hotel Milan. PeepingMoon sources say Yogesh has not been arrested yet because his own condition is critical.

It is not known how Yogesh tried to kill himself. According to the police, Yogesh confessed he had stabbed Malvi for rejecting his marriage proposal. After attacking her in Versova, he fled in his car and tried to end his life.
Malvi had told the police that Yogesh sent her a friend request on Facebook in 2019. In January this year, Yogesh asked her to do a video album. Malvi met the producer twice at a coffee shop. A few days later, Yogesh proposed to the actress, after which Malvi blocked him from every possible platform.
