Prernaa Arora has been arrested! The co-founder (along with Arjun N. Kapoor) of KriArj Entertainment was picked up by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch and produced in the Esplanade Court in a case filed by film distributor Vashu Bhagnani. She will be in police custody till December 10. EOW has arrested Prernaa for cheating worth Rs 31.6 crore.
Bhagnani’s complaint was that he had not been credited as the distributor in the musical comedy Fanney Khan that was co-produced by KriArj along with others including T-Series and Anil Kapoor as per their agreement. Prernaa has been accused of cheating.

Bhagnani had also accused Prernaa’s mother Protima Arora and partner Arjun in the FIR he lodged with the EOW. According to his complaint, he has been cheated of Rs. 16 crore by them. When the police was found to be dragging its heels in the investigation, Vashu complained to the Bombay High Court that his FIR was not being taken seriously, and the HC then rapped the Mumbai Police Commissioner on the knuckles and ordered action in the complaint.
Apart from Bhagnani, Prernaa has been also accused of cheating film financier Anil Gupta of ₹16 crore. Here is the copy of the exclusive FIR of the copy:
