A 'professor' arrested for allegedly stalking and threatening Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal

A man has been arrested from Bihar's Sasaram for allegedly threatening and abusing singer Palak Muchhal. On Wednesday, June 6, the popular singer registered an FIR against a man who was calling her and asking her to meet him. She also accused the man of sending her repeated texts telling her that he would come to her residence if she won't meet him.

The police identified the man as Rajesh Shukla, who says he works as a professor in Bihar. Palak had alleged that the 30-year-old man first told her that he's a fan and would like to meet her. However, after the singer's many attempts to make him understand she can't fulfil his request, he started threatening her.

As reported by a leading daily, an FIR in the case has been lodged under Section 354 (D) (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the Amboli police station. Following which the man got arrested from the CSMT railway station. He revealed that he had come to Mumbai two weeks ago to meet the singer.
