The Met Gala is here and so the fashion soiree begins. Held on May 1 at 6.30 PM ET, the 'Oscars of Fashion' witnessed an unleashed sartorial extravaganza on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. And speaking of extravaganza, actress Alia Bhatt made her Met Gala debut and oh boy, she arrived on the red carpet and how!
Fitting to this year’s theme, ‘In honor of Karl,’ Alia’s custom look from Nepalese-American designer Prabal Gurung took references from the iconic Chanel brides collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Her dreamy white ball gown was bejeweled with elegant pearl embroidery that added an element of oomph to her trailblazing couture. The lacy fingerless gloves paid homage to Karl and his legacy. Her divine look was teamed with a pair of studded pearl earrings and a statement ring, which were in sync with her look.
The understated makeup was definitely a hero here that elevated Alia’s look furthermore. A subtle glam with a hint of tint on the cheeks and glossy nude lips teamed with a half-tied hairdo made her look like the princess that she totally is!
