The trailer of Manoj Bajpayee, Sharmila Tagore, Simran and Suraj Sharma starrer Gulmohar was unveiled today. The drama revolves around three generations of a family who have all drifted apart over the years, yet living under the same roof.
The film’s trailer shows Sharmila playing the family matriarch, Kusum Batra who decides to sell the family home Gulmohar and relocate to Pondicherry. Her announcement causes a turbulence in the family, leaving her son Arun (Manoj Bajpayee) unsettled, her daughter-in-law Simran distraught and grandson (Suraj Sharma) seeking more independence for himself whereas a family secret threatens to come out of the closet about the will of her late husband which may separate them much more than mere distance can between Delhi and Pondicherry.

Gulmohar also stars Amol Palekar, Kaveri Seth and Utsavi Jha. Gulmohar is directed by Rahul V Chittella and is co-written by Arpita Mukherjee and Rahul. The film’s score has been composed by Siddhartha Khosla.
Gulmohar will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on March 3 and serves as a comeback of Sharmila Tagore to films after 12 long years.
