Anushka Sharma is shooting for her film Chakda Xpress, a biopic on the Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami in Kolkata. The pictures from the film’s sets have gone viral. Anushka was seen shooting at Howrah Andul today.
The pictures were shared online by a paparazzo account. In the pictures, Anushka can be seen sporting a shirt, half-tucked inside a brown skirt and looks like the actress is playing a young Jhulan from her school days as the clothes look like school uniform.
Anushka has been rigorously training and honing her cricketing skills for Chakda Xpress in order to portray the role of Jhulan convincingly.
Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy and brings to fore Jhulan’s journey of becoming one of the biggest female Indian cricketers of today. The film is produced by Anushka’s brother Karnesh Ssharma’s production company Clean Slate Films.
The film is slated to release on Netflix on February 2, 2023.
