Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta will be back on Netflix with the second season of their hit show Masaba Masaba on July 29. The real-life mother-daughter duo, who also play their real selves on the show will have a new set of challenges as they traverse through the ups-and-downs of lives, not to mention trying to find a balance between their personal and professional lives. The official trailer of Masaba Masaba 2 was released today on social media. Sharing it on her Instagram handle, Masaba wrote, “She’s been a princess, she’s been a queen, now it’s time for her to be king.”
The trailer opens with Masaba wondering whether her collection is so bad that people are not sitting till the end of her fashion show. Soon the focus shifts to her personal life as Neil Bhoopalam returns as Dhairya Rana, her investor-turned-love-interest. However, things are not so smooth as Masaba also finds herself being attracted to her client Armaan Khera who plays Fateh and has commissioned Masaba to design his wedding clothes. On the other hand, Neena is the lead actor of a new show and is looking for a lead to be cast opposite her, enter Ram Kapoor, apparently an old flame and some strings can be presumed to be attached here.

Neena and Masaba play fictionalized versions of themselves in the series. They navigate their lives with humour and share their hustle for work and passion in their mundane lives. Masaba Masaba 2 is directed by Sonam Nair who also helmed the first. It also stars Kusha Kapila, Kareema Barry, Rytasha Rathore and Barkha Singh.
The series is all set to stream on Netflix on July 29.
