‘If everything goes well, we’ll start by beginning of next year,’ says Akshay Kumar about his digital debut The End

Akshay Kumar is all geared up for the release of his upcoming action-comedy film Bachchhan Paandey. The film also stars Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pankaj Tripathi and is directed by Farhad Samji. After the trailer launch event yesterday, Akshay, Kriti and Arshad sat down for a group interview with media professionals to talk about the film and their other ventures.

During the interview, Akshay was asked about his highly-anticipated digital debut in the series The End that was supposed to premiere on Amazon Prime Video and was launched with much fanfare. However, the show did not materialize and has been put on the backburner. Talking about the show, the actor said, “We were going to start this year but Amazon wasn’t satisfied with the screenplay so we are still working on that. If everything goes well, we’ll start by beginning of next year.”

Akshay had announced his digital debut by performing a daredevil stunt on the stage as he literally alighted himself. The show was said to be a mix of action, thrill and drama suitable to the actor’s persona of Khiladi Kumar.

Now, with Akshay’s clarification we can hardly wait for the show to go on floors.
