Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, web shows and daily soaps became the only source of entertainment for people seated at home. Not only new web shows, but re-telecasts of old Hindi shows ruled the charts. Now, IMDb has listed down the top 250 shows across the world that kept people busy throughout the lockdown.
Hansal Mehta's web show, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, was placed in the 18th position. Starring Pratik Gandhi, Shreya Dhanwanthary and others, it was hailed as 2020's best web series. It revolves around the Harshad Mehta scam.
Apart from Scam 1992, Indian web shows like TVF Pitchers, Aspirants, Kota Factory and Gullak are also featuring in the list. Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan starring Dipika Chikhlia and Arun Govil also made to the list. For the unversed, the show released in 1987 but got a re-run during the lockdown.
