The recently released television period drama series, Bridgerton, received a thumbs-up from the audience and critics alike. The show based on Julia Quinn’s novels released on December 25, 2020, on Netflix. Within a month's time, it has made history. The Chris Van Dusen-created series has reportedly been watched by 82 million households around the globe within the first 28 days of its release.
The eight-episode long series has apparently surpassed Netflix's biggest series, The Witcher, that released in 2019 and was watched by 76 million households in the first four weeks of premiere. The Henry Cavill-starrer fantasy series also released in December.

The cast of Bridgerton thanked the audience for showering love on the show. Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton, wrote on Instagram, "This is utterly insane. I’m SO proud of the incredible team behind this show! And thank you guys for loving it. MADNESS "

Bridgerton has been renewed for another season. It is produced by Shondaland. The series also stars Nicola Coughlan, Jonathan Bailey, Julie Andrews, Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton, Ruby Barker, Polly Walker, Ruth Gemmell, Luke Thompson, Sabrina Bartlett, Adjoa Andoh, Florence Hunt, Will Tilston, Golda Rosheuvel, Kathryn Dresdale, Martins Imhangbe and others.
