Karan Johar has been in the film business for quite some years now and has managed to become a household name with his films. The filmmaker, with the emergence of digital content, signed a multi-film deal with Netflix. The digital extension of Dharma Productions, Dharmatic Entertainment, is working closely with Netflix to release interesting shows and films on the OTT. Now, as people seated at home are moving to the web for entertainment, Karan announced a new film. Starring Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani, the film titled Meenakshi Sundareshwar was announced today.
Sharing the announcement on social media, the makers of Meenakshi Sundareshwar unveiled the look of the lead actors. "What happens when lives are brought together by names but uprooted by fate and distance? Stay tuned to watch a sweet, funny, messy story unfold. #MeenakshiSundareshwar, coming soon to Netflix," the caption read. Sanya, in the poster, looks lovely as a South Indian bride with sass. Abhimanyu makes for a cute groom dressed in a traditional white mundu and shirt.
Workwise, Sanya has signed Shah Rukh Khan-produced Love Hostel co-starring Vikrant Massey and Bobby Deol. Abhimanyu has Aankh Micholi and Nikamma in the pipeline.
