Netflix, on Tuesday, released the trailer of their upcoming mystery film titled Enola Holmes. Featuring Millie Bobby Brown in the titular role, the film includes actors namely Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter and Sam Claflin.
The trailer introduces the audience to Enola. It gives a sneak-peek into the relationship she shares with her mother and brother, famous detective Sherlock Holmes. One fine day, Enola's mother goes missing. Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes expect her to go to a finishing school to learn the etiquette of being a woman and find a place for herself in society. Instead, she sets out searching for her missing mother. Outwitting her renowned brother, Enola gears up for an adventure. In the middle of this, we get to see Enola's love story too.
Breaking past norms of being a woman, Millie's Enola is a courageous woman. Adding a dash of humour, the makers highlight the carefree and fun-loving nature of Enola. Her direct communication with viewers is a unique aspect.
Enola Holmes is based on the book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer. It is written by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child 's screenwriter Jack Thorne. Fleabag director Harry Bradbeer has helmed it. Enola Holmes will premiere on Netflix on September 23.
