14 comedians, 10 minutes each, every hour: Sapan Verma, Sumukhi Suresh and other comedians to come together for 'Amazon Funnies: Prime Day Special'
Leading up to Prime Day 2020, Amazon Prime Video today shared a special video of the much-awaited upcoming Amazon Funnies - Prime Day Special. The all-day laughter fiesta will see 14 stand-up comedians such as Nishant Tanwar, Sapan Verma, Rahul Subramanian, Sumukhi Suresh, Karthik Kumar and more, each performing a set of ten-minutes in Hinglish, Hindi and English!
Sapan Verma said, "I'm very excited to be a part of this diverse and talented line-up! Doing stand-up without any live audience was a bit challenging at first, but right now the whole world is adapting to new formats and so did we. We could all do with some laughs in these strange times, and I hope we're able to do that for our audiences through this."
Rahul Subramanian said,"I am excited and nervous about being a part of Amazon Funnies: Prime Day Special. As a comedian, I have really missed the stage, and even though this is not exactly the same, it feels nice to just do comedy again. However, mine is not a stand up set, it's a piece to camera and Saurav Mehta has helped me write this. It's more like a rant about my memories, so I hope you guys like it. And I'm nervous because I've never done this format before, hence the nervousness and excitement. Also, I am looking forward to seeing what the other comedians have done and there are a lot of wonderful comedians who are making content for Amazon Funnies on Prime Day. And I can't wait to see what they have done."
