This International Women’s Day marked the start of new Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby product Made in Heaven on Amazon Prime right after their recent hit Gully Boy. Out of the star-studded affair, that series presents a new star in making looks to be taking steps upwards.

Yaaneea Bharadwaj who nails the character ‘Sukhmani’ in the episode ‘A Marriage of Convenience’ with a spectacular performance. She plays a Punjabi girl who desires to go and live in America but has to settle for a green card husband who is impotent. Her jolly and carefree Punjabi character gives us glimpses to the character of ‘Geet’ in Jab We Met enacted by Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti creation have 9 episodes and her episode directed by Prashant Nair seems to have quickly heaped a lot of praise from the fans. Interestingly, the actress has no connection to Punjab!

Yaaneea recently talked about her preparation for the show where she mentioned how she prepared for a Punjabi dialect in 10-15 days and gained around 4kgs to give the best of her to the character’s requirements.
