Pushpa: The Rise trailer- Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil bring an intriguing action thriller on red sandalwood smuggling

The trailer of Allu Arjun’s highly-anticipated film Pushpa: The Rise was released on Monday night ahead of the film’s release in cinemas on December 17. The Telugu film is an action thriller written and directed by Sukumar and also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Allu Arjun plays the titular character of Pushpa Raj a truck driver and a smuggler who trades red sandalwood smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh in India.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer opens with a dialogue that brings to fore the worth of red sandalwood and how cargo worth billions are smuggled out of the Seshachalam forests in Andhra Pradesh. Allu Arjun is introduced as a flamboyant and fierce truck driver-cum-smuggler who is not afraid to break the law.

The trailer also gives glimpses of Rashmika Mandanna as the romantic female lead and Fahadh Faasil as the main antagonist looks menacing as he sports a thick moustache and bald head. Sunil palso plays one of the antagonists while Anasuya Bharadwaj gets to play a feisty character. The film also stars Jagapathi Babu.

Pushpa will be released in two parts and has music by Devi Sri Prasad. The film also marks Allu Arjun's Bollywood debut as the project is being dubbed in Hindi as well. It will also release in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.
