New first look and character posters have been unveiled from highly-anticipated south Indian films. Anasuya Bharadwaj’s look from Allu Arjun’s and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa: The Rise has been unveiled. On the other hand, Mohanlal has unveiled the title and first look of his upcoming film Monster in a never-seen-before avatar. Read on for more details.

Mohanlal unveils his turban clad avatar for his next film ‘Monster’

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal treated his fans to a first look poster and title reveal of his next film Monster. The film is directed by Vysakh and went on floors today. The veteran actor sports a turban-clad Sikh avatar in the film’s poster with a grim expression while holding a gun in his hand. The poster reads, “Mohanlal as Lucky Singh” and sees the actor wearing a necklace with a pendant that bears the alphabet ‘L’ and the traditional Sikh kada on his right hand. Monster is written by Udaykrishna and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

Anasuya Bharadwaj looks fiesty as Dakshayani in Pushpa:The Rise’s new poster

Anasuya Bharadwaj will play Dakshayani in Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa: The Rise. The makers of the film revealed Anasuya’s poster from the film. They wrote, “She is arrogance and pride personified! Introducing @anusuyakhasba as #Dakshayani..” In the poster, Anasuya can be seen with a grim expression and holding a sharp betel nut cutter in her hand. She also seems to have pan in her mouth as she gazes at the camera. Pushpa: The Rise is directed by Sukumar. The film is based on the real-life incidents about the red sandalwood smugglers in the Seshachalam hills of the Rayalseema region in Andhra Pradesh and will see Allu Arjun in the titular role of the smuggler. The film will be made in two parts and the first one will release in theatres on December 17.
