‘Yuvarathnaa for millions,’ says Amul as it pays tribute to Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar in its latest topical

The youngest child of matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar and Parvathamma Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar, passed away yesterday on October 29, after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. The recipient of a National Award, the actor was only 46 years old. His funeral will take place on Sunday, October 31 in Bengaluru.

Tributes have been pouring in for the actor ever since the news of his demise was released in the media. Now, dairy giant Amul has also paid homage to the young superstar with its topical advertisement. Amul shared the ad with the caption, “#Amul Topical: Tribute to superstar Kannada actor,” while it wrote, “Yuvarathnaa for millions! Puneeth Rajkumar 1975-2021,” on its topical.

The Kannada actor’s mortal remains will be put to rest beside the grave of his father, the legendary actor of Kannada cinema Dr Rajkumar in Bengaluru. The order was issued in this regard by senior IAS officer N. Manjunath Prasad, Principle Secretary to the Chief Minister on Friday.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced today that the actor’s funeral will be done on Sunday owing to the swerving crowd as several fans were still waiting to pay their last respects to their favourite actor.
