Dhanush to reunite with his filmmaker brother Selvaraghavan for the Tamil film Aayirathil Oruvan 2
Dhanush has some interesting projects up his sleeve. The Tamil actor recently wrapped the shoot of his upcoming Hindi film Atrangi Re with Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. Now, on January 1, he announced his collaboration with his brother Selvaraghavan. The filmmaker will be directing the actor in Aayirathil Oruvan 2.
The poster of Aayirathil Oruvan 2 was released on social media. Selvaraghavan shared a post on Twitter in Tamil. Dhanush commented, "A magnum opus! The pre production alone will take us a year. But a dream film from the master @selvaraghavan! The wait will be long. But we will give our best to make it all worth it. AO2.The Prince returns in 2024." The film is a sequel to Selvaraghavan’s critically-acclaimed 2010 Tamil epic film Aayirathil Oruvan starring Karthi, Andrea Jeremiah and Reema Sen.

This is the fourth time Dhanush is collaborating with his brother.
Samantha Akkineni signs a mythological film titled Shakuntalam
Samantha Akkineni gave her fans a major surprise by announcing her next film. Titled Shakuntalam, the mythological film will be directed by Gunasekar. A teaser was released with the announcement.
If the video is anything to go by, Samantha will be seen playing the role of Shakuntala, one of the lead characters in Kalidasa's Abhijnana Shakuntalam. It appears the love story of King Dushyant and Shakuntala, daughter of sage Vishwamitra and apsara Menaka, will form the crux of the film.
The film is expected to go on floors this year.
Nagarjuna's film Wild Dog to release on OTT?
Nagarjuna's upcoming film Telugu film Wild Dog is much awaited. Co-starring Saiyami Kher, the project will see the superstar stepping into the shoes of an NIA officer. According to reports, Wild Dog will be getting an OTT release and not a theatrical one.
Reportedly, Wild Dog has been picked by Netflix. It is said to release on Republic Day that is January 26, 2021. In November, the makers wrapped the shoot of the film in the Himalayas. Sharing pictures from the set, Nagarjuna wrote, "Heading home after wrapping up my work for #WildDog! Feeling sad as I say goodbye to my talented team and the Himalayas"

Yash and Sanjay Dutt's KGF: Chapter 2 to be wrapped by mid-January?
Yash and Sanjay Dutt's KGF: Chapter 2 is in the making for quite some time. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then Sanjay's cancer diagnosis, the shoot of the actioner was pushed ahead. Now, after much wait, they are reportedly inching closer to completion.
A source close to the film told a leading publication that the makers will wrap the shoot by mid-January. Reportedly, Sanjay has completed his portions. "He (Prashanth Neel, director) has been shooting for the climax for quite a while now, the last schedule was planned around the new year’s. Yash has been juggling between work and family and as soon as the lockdown got over he and the team have worked endlessly to wrap up the shoot's last schedule," the source told.
The source added, "It was made sure that everybody followed all the protocols that were put up and all of them worked hard, especially in these testing times even if it meant for the shoot to take longer to wrap up."
The teaser of KGF: Chapter 2 will be unveiled on January 8.
