Shootings and production work have been at a standstill in Bollywood and Southern entertainment industries right from mid-March ever since the lockdown was put into place. However, now work on pending films has started in the southern industry.
Reportedly, the Tamil Nadu government has decided that the post-production work on the films can be resumed. This decision was taken after the Southern producers and directors wrote a letter to the State government citing the humongous loss the industry is facing because of the lockdown.

Now, since the Tamil Nadu government has given permission, it seems imperative that the Maharashtra government also gives its go-ahead to Bollywood to resume work on its numerous pending films. However, the Tamil Nadu government has not given its permission to resume shootings and only post-production work can be undertaken. The government has given strict guidelines that not more than 30 people can be on the sets or inside the production house where the work is being done.
The works that have been allowed include VFX, music background sound effect and others can be taken up and the finished films can be released on digital medium ensuring that the filmmakers do not lose out on money.
