Masaba Gupta was a novice when she debuted with her show Masaba Masaba last year but this year she has turned pro with two back-to-back performances in Modern Love Mumbai and Masaba Masaba Season 2. She excelled in both and stood out with her short I Love Thane in the anthology series Modern Love Mumbai.
Neena Gupta – Masaba Masaba 2 and Panchayat 2
It goes without saying that Neena Gupta is an accomplished actress but it is commendable and noteworthy that she makes it to the list populated by much younger actresses in leading roles. The veteran actress gave ample support to her daughter Masaba in Masaba Masaba 2 and Jitendra Kumar in Panchayat 2. She regaled one and all with her comic timing and effortless acting.
Drashti Dhami – Duranga
Drashti Dhami burst on the screens playing senior crime officer Ira Jaykar in Zee5’s Duranga. Paired opposite Gulshan Devaiah, she kicks ass and is hot on the heels of the murder mystery that she is trying to solve in the series. It was a welcome change to see her in a never-seen-before avatar, and at the same time not only present the demeanor of a hard-hitting and shrewd cop but also of a loving wife and mother.
Fatima Sana Shaikh – Modern Love and Prajakta Koli- Mismatched 2
Fatima Sana Shaikh excelled in her short Raat Rani in the anthology Modern Love Mumbai. Bringing to life the resilience of her character, Fatima received accolades for her performance. On the other hand, Prajakta Koli also managed to stand out in Mismatched 2 and lived up to the expectations of fans in the sequel.
Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari – Human
Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari headlined Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s medical drama Human. Shefali excels as the unpredictable, menacing doctor who is blinded by her ambition. On the other hand, Kirti plays the perfect foil to Shefali in the series as the righteous doctor who must triumph over the evil.
Madhuri Dixit – The Fame Game
Madhuri Dixit made her highly anticipated web series debut with The Fame Game. Playing the role of a superstar Madhuri lead and carried the series on her able shoulders.
Geetanjali Kulkarni – Gullak Season 3
Geetanjali Kulkarni reprised her role of the matriarch in the series Gullak Season 3. She put in an impeccable performance as the harried middle class wife and mother with panache who has a zillion troubles to grapple with but is also loving and caring towards her family.
Huma Qureshi – Maharani Season 2
Huma Qureshi reprised her role in Maharani season 2 and delivered a powerhouse performance. Playing the role of Bihar Chief Minister Rani Bharti she presents a formidable front as she takes on not only the corrupt politicians but also faces her husband as she tries to change the face of the state.

She plays the role of a typical housewife but take things in her own hands to find her daughter’s killers.
