Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have come a long way. Especially when we know the former had manifested a love story with him. The sunshine couple of tinsel town had an eventful and joyous year. Today, as they welcome their first child today, here's looking back at how 2022 went for Ranbir and Alia. Don't forget to take a walk down memory lane!
Alia, who started acting at a young age, was being considered for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Balika Vadhu with Ranbir. She was 11 and he was around 20. However, the film didn't see the light of day but fans definitely managed to catch a glimpse of RanLia's first-ever photoshoot.
After a long wait, Alia confessed her liking for Ranbir on Koffee With Karan in 2014. She was then an actress who was promoting her second film titled Highway. Post the confession, Ranbir joined Alia in promoting the film. Their pictures went viral and are still popular.
Just a few years later, Alia and Ranbir signed their first film together, Brahmastra. During the shoot, they fell in love with each other and the rest is history. They dated throughout the shooting and tied the knot five years later.
Ranbir and Alia had an intimate wedding at their Bandra residence on April 14, 2022, in the presence of family members and close industry friends. They had a traditional Punjabi wedding which concluded with a party which was graced by celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan.
In June, Alia announced her pregnancy. Soon, as she started promoting Darlings, her baby bump made its debut. She produced as well as acted in the Netflix film. On completing nine months of pregnancy, she was admitted to Mumbai's Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre today where she gave birth to a baby girl. In the official statement, the couple wrote, "And in the best news of our lives:-Our baby is here... and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love-blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir (sic)."
